Named after the Spanish word reposar — “to rest” — Reposado celebrates the connection between two cultures, represented by the monarch butterfly that travels between Canada and Mexico.

The monarch butterfly migrates to Mexico in the Fall and returns to Canada in the Spring.

Día de los Muertos returns to Saint John this fall with a series of events celebrating Mexican art, culture, food, performance and tradition.

The 2026 celebrations run from October 16 through November 1, with the main community festival on October 24 and events throughout Saint John and the surrounding area.
